While No. 13 Collective sits at her work desk with a strong iced long black, Seek and Scribe is on the beach with a Mojito.
You see, Seek and Scribe is more about adventure, than ambition. More about freedom than financial stability.
The wild, younger sister of No. 13 Collective, she never really followed the rules, opting instead to live her life with the kind of reckless abandon that makes her loved ones nervous.
So… who is Seek & Scribe?
It’s my (long stagnant) travel blog.
I’m bringing it back to life, as I prepare to take off on another adventure of a lifetime.
In the past decade, I have been lucky enough to explore so many incredible corners of the globe.
Throughout this time, I have broadened my horizons and fallen in love with the world.
But the truth is, I’ve always felt a sort of cognitive dissonance between my travel life - where I ditch the make-up and the expectations - and my work life, where I stay late, go above and beyond and get called things like ambitious by senior execs.
When I was in my early twenties, I always envisaged that my life could go one of two ways.
I would either travel forever…
making a new place my home every couple of years, swinging from country to country (think: cool aunt in Paris style).
Or I would have a successful career.
Neither option seemed more probable than the other, but one thing’s for sure. I could never see myself doing both - the world’s simply sitting too far apart.
Now, here I am at 31, about to pack up with my hubby and my babe, and I realise that I have brought together these two lives - which ran in parallel but never together, into one, incredible life that I have built.
And even more so, I have branded these different identities in a way that makes me feel like I have the best of both worlds.
No. 13 Collective, where I fill my ambitious cup with client work that makes me fall more in love with my job.
And Seek and Scribe, where I fill my adventurous cup with travel that makes me fall more in love with my life.
